When I first moved to Arizona, I had no idea these lush ribbons of life existed here. Come explore some of the best riparian (river) areas in the Southwest. They are an astounding blend of soaring stone, verdant greenery and flowers, birds, bats, and butterflies. I have fallen in love with this habitat and show no signs of tiring of it any time soon.

We will backpack into West Clear Creek, in addition to Wet Beaver Creek, both of which are in the Sedona/Verde Valley area. There are sweet creekside campsites and plenty of shade. This trip does require carrying weight, and features a moderate level of elevation change.
